Mustard seed faith

After placing an online order and receiving an order confirmation with details and tracking information, the next step is patiently and impatiently waiting for our package. This is an act of faith because even though we cannot see the package, we trust it will eventually be delivered to our front door. Hebrews 11:1 NIV  says, “Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see.” Just as we trust Amazon to deliver our orders without seeing the actual process, why can't we have faith in Jesus? We also have faith that when we board an airplane, it will land at its destination, or when we sit on a chair, it won't drop us, so why can't we have faith in God and trust that he will fulfill his promises? Which promise, you may ask?

I’m with you until the end of ages

I will uphold you with my righteous right-hand

Come to me and find rest

I will never forsake you

I have redeemed you; you are mine; I call you by name

I have gone back home to prepare a place for you in heaven. John 14:2-3

And so many more assuring promises, which can only be received by faith. The disciples asked Jesus why they could not cast out a demon from a possessed person; He replied, “Because you have so little faith. Truly, I tell you, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you.” Matthew 17:20 NIV

Some may think they need a Lifesize faith to see God move, but that’s not what Jesus instructs; faith is never too small as long as the object of faith is Jesus.

Faith means believing in what God says even before it happens. If we only believed things after seeing them happen, it wouldn't require much faith or trust because we would already have proof.

Remember, 'mustard seed faith, ''mountain moving faith, 'is in the word of God alone. That’s our proof, our evidence. We know that what we’ve prayed for and believe God for shall come to pass. Why? Because God said it will, so therefore it shall. This 'mustard seed faith' is our confidence, our reassurance that God's promises are genuine and will be fulfilled in our lives.

According to your faith, let it be done to you Matthew 9:29 NIV.
