Give Thanks
In a world where success is often tied to effort and rewards to merit, unmerited favor reveals the heart of God's character. When we acknowledge and give thanks for this favor, we shift our focus from our own abilities to His sovereignty. Gratitude aligns our hearts with his, opening the door for even more incredible blessings.
The Bible reminds us of this truth in Ephesians 2:8-9
"For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God—not by works, so that no one can boast."
This passage calls us to humility and thanksgiving, recognizing that every good thing in our lives stems from God's grace.
As you gather with your loved ones around the table for Thanksgiving tomorrow, take time to share your testimonies. Let others know how God's favor has worked in your life. Let them know of his goodness and faithfulness. Sharing builds faith and encourages others to trust in Him. It lets them know that if He did it for you, He can also do it for them.
"I will give thanks to you, Lord, with all my heart; I will tell of all your wonderful deeds. Psalm 9:1
Happy Thanksgiving!
