A Prosperous Mind.

Our world, our nature as humans, is governed by laws and influenced by realms. In Genesis1:2-3, we learn about the spirit's influence on the material world.

2 Now the earth was formless and empty, darkness was over the surface of the deep, and the Spirit of God was hovering over the waters. 3 And God said, “Let there be light,” and there was light. From these lines, we conclude that this world is subject to the spiritual world, but what about man?

Among all the creatures fashioned by God, man possesses unique traits that underscore the significance of spirituality in his being and the lives of all individuals. It is through the profound connection with spirituality that we can truly evolve and flourish, experiencing a transformative journey.

In Daniel 6:3, we learn that the king considered setting him over the kingdom because he had an excellent spirit and showed wisdom in everything. The divine spirit greatly influences our spirit, which contributes to our success. While heart, mind, soul, and spirit tend to be used interchangeably to mean the same thing, the spirit is the part of us that connects to God or refuses to connect to God. The more we open the valve of our spirit and let the Holy Spirit influence it, the more we become more like him in our thoughts, words, and actions. The more our lives are transformed.

In the Gospels, there is a concrete example of the importance of the mindset; in Matthew 14:27-31, it is written: 27, But Jesus immediately said to them: “Take courage! It is I. Don’t be afraid.28 “Lord, if it’s you,” Peter replied, “tell me to come to you on the water.” 29 “Come,” he said. Then Peter got down out of the boat, walked on the water, and came toward Jesus. 30 But when he saw the wind, he was afraid and, beginning to sink, cried out, “Lord, save me!” 31 Immediately, Jesus reached out his hand and caught him. “You of little faith,” he said, “why did you doubt?”

Peter walked on water momentarily, but when he doubted, he sank.

We may not be sinking due to a lack of faith. Still, our moments of discouragement and abandonment are directly influenced by our state of mind and mental disposition, influencing our abilities to succeed, achieve life goals, and walk in obedience. Are you doing what God called you to do? How many dreams have you given up on? Have you abandoned them because you couldn’t stay focused? Was it a study goal? A business? Maybe you gave up on the idea of going to the gym? Negative thinking and doubting will hold you back and keep you stuck and, worst of all, limit your belief in the ability of God to accomplish his promises in your life, which is a lie from the enemy. I want to encourage you today to lean on Jesus; He is the key to a transformed life. He desires growth and development in all areas of life. He doesn’t want you to see you suffering, hurt, or in bondage. He offered his life so you can be free, open your mind, receive, and believe this truth.

Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be in health just as your soul prospers. 3 John 1:2
